Intellectual Property for Life Sciences Entrepreneurs

ABSTRACT: This article provides an overview of the various forms of intellectual property that are available for life science entrepreneurs. These include patent, trademarks, trade secrets and copyrights. Intellectual property strategies are suggested including portfolio development. We also cover patent terms, ownership, and exclusivity provisions. Additionally, we consider the synergies between patent strategy with regulatory strategy to enhance competitive positioning.
