Yulian Shtern is an associate in the Health Sciences Department of Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the New York office. Mr. Shtern focuses his practice on health care regulatory, transactional and compliance matters and advises a wide array of health care providers and suppliers, including hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, pharmaceutical suppliers, physician practice groups, long-term care facilities and clinical laboratories.
Mr. Shtern helps health care providers and suppliers navigate through complex business transactions and regulatory issues, including issues arising under the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Civil Monetary Penalties Statute, HIPAA/HITECH and other applicable state and federal health care laws and regulations. He also counsels clients on matters pertaining to licensing, corporate practice of medicine and participation in government health care programs.
