Rebecca J. Reed is an associate in the Health Sciences Department of Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the Washington office.
Ms. Reed focuses her practice on counseling and defending pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology companies. Her primary focus is counseling clients on risk assessment and mitigation regarding product development and marketing, business agreements throughout the product life cycle, FDA regulatory issues, and potential litigation and compliance risks. Ms. Reed also defends pharmaceutical companies in products liability litigation and attorney general investigations in coordinated state and federal court proceedings. Her experience includes internal investigation and risk assessments of pharmaceutical companies’ compliance with federal health care laws and advising clients operating under international collaboration agreements.
Ms. Reed maintains a robust and varied pro bono practice, which includes advocating for veterans, children with special health care needs, at-risk immigrants and refugees and families experiencing homelessness or eviction proceedings.
Prior to practicing law, Ms. Reed worked in federal and state government.
Ms. Reed is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania (she is not admitted in the District of Columbia). Ms. Reed is under supervision by principals of Pepper Hamilton LLP who are members of the D.C. Bar.
