Megan counsels clients in a wide range of technologies, with particular focus on biotechnology, therapeutics, and medical devices. She has prepared and prosecuted applications relating to protein and peptide therapeutics, stem cells and related therapeutic technologies, immunotherapeutics, transgenic organisms, new use applications, diagnostic assays, medical devices, and design.
Megan has broad experience in assisting both patent owners and patent challengers in post-issuance patent proceedings, providing strategic counseling relating to post-issuance proceedings in connection with, for example, copending patent litigation as well as biosimilar development and launch. Megan assists clients in all phases of ex parte reexamination, interference proceedings, inter partes review proceedings, and patent litigation. Megan also has more than a decade of experience in preparing and prosecuting reissue patent applications. Megan is actively involved in due diligence activities along with opinion drafting on patentability, freedom-to-operate, validity, and infringement.
