Luke Nicholas Eaton is an associate in the Construction Practice Group of Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the Los Angeles office. Mr. Eaton's practice focuses on construction, business disputes and commercial collections, representing clients in both litigation and arbitration, in the United States and throughout Europe. Mr. Eaton has represented domestic and foreign companies, private owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, distributors, suppliers as well as public entities in a variety of matters.
Mr. Eaton has substantial experience handling and evaluating construction claims, including mechanics lien, stop payment notice and payment bond claims, as well as advising clients on how to pursue and/or avoid such claims. In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Eaton is a published author and a frequent speaker on such topics as statutory remedies and commercial collections. Mr. Eaton also has a unique understanding of the construction industry having worked as a project superintendent. His project experience also includes general contracting and various subcontracting trades on projects in and around southern California.
Mr. Eaton also advises his clients in contract drafting, contract review and contract administration, which assistance is critical to avoiding disputes before they reach the litigation or arbitration stage.
