Lauren DeWitt is an associate in the Health Sciences Department of Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the Princeton office. Ms. DeWitt focuses her practice on health care regulatory and corporate law matters. She represents pharmaceutical manufacturers, hospitals and health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, physician groups, long-term care organizations, retail specialty and long-term care pharmacies, medical suppliers, group purchasing organizations, telemedicine providers and other health care organizations in connection with compliance, regulatory and structural governance matters, M&A and other business transactions.
Ms. DeWitt counsels health care companies on regulatory issues impacting commercial health care transactions including issues under fraud and abuse laws, including the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark, civil monetary penalties law, false claims act, health care fraud statutes, HIPAA, as well as billing, reimbursement and claims issues, including issues under Medicare Parts A, B & D, Medicaid and commercial payor requirements. She also advises clients regarding general regulatory compliance and risk management issues.
