Andrew focuses his practice on intellectual property matters, including patent and trade secret litigation in federal and state courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Andrew is a partner in the Intellectual Property group in the Boston office. He represents clients of all sizes in areas of intellectual property law, including patent and trade secret litigation and proceedings before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). He draws on his education and experience to provide services in connection with a wide range of technologies and industry sectors, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, image sensors and bioimaging, semiconductors, telecommunications, and software.
Andrew has represented pharmaceutical and biotech companies in patent and trade secret matters involving small molecule development. His experience spans from the initial comparisons of small molecules developed by competitors through a comprehensive review of clinical trial disclosures and NDA submissions. Andrew has navigated the intersection of law and science in his litigation practice, including conducting comprehensive written discovery and depositions related to small molecular development, analyzing pre-clinical results and clinical trial outcomes, and understanding the current landscape of research and knowledge in the field.
Prior to joining the firm, Andrew served as a judicial intern in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Andrew holds a Ph.D. in molecular and cellular pharmacology from the University of Miami. He brings foundational knowledge in molecular & cell biology and biochemistry and specialized knowledge in drug development and cardiovascular pharmacology and neuropharmacology. Andrew's doctorate research focused on receptor signaling pathways in neurons, and protein degradation pathways and their role in neurodegenerative disease. His scientific and technological experience includes pharmacology, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, and neuroscience.
