Bennett L. Aaron is special counsel in the Tax and Estates Practice Group of Pepper Hamilton LLP, and is a Fellow of the Pepper Center for Public Service. He is resident in the firm’s Philadelphia office. For more than 50 years, Mr. Aaron’s practice has been devoted exclusively to serving the needs of individuals who have accumulated wealth and assisting them in the transfer of this wealth for the benefit of family members at the least possible cost.
Mr. Aaron graduated from Columbia College in 1954 and Columbia Law School in 1957, and he received a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1966. He is past chairman of the Philadelphia Bar Association, Section on Taxation, Subcommittee on Federal Estate and Gift Taxes, and the author of several articles on estate and gift tax.
Mr. Aaron has also held leadership roles in various community organizations, both locally and nationally and served as president of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia from 1984-87.
