After more than thirty years as an associate and partner in the firm, Andrew R. Rogoff is a fellow in the Pepper Center for Public Service. He represents immigrants to this country who are seeking the legal protections American law affords to those facing persecution in their home countries.
Before joining the Pepper Center, Mr. Rogoff was a trial lawyer in the firm, where he focused his practice on the defense of pharmaceutical product liability claims brought by individuals and by state attorneys general, as well as allegations of professional negligence. He tried to verdict several dozen jury and non-jury matters (including obtaining an acquittal for a battered woman charged with first-degree murder), argued appeals in federal and state courts, and appeared before the federal Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation. In addition, he resolved several cases through private mediation and arbitration.
Before joining Pepper Hamilton in 1985, Mr. Rogoff served as an assistant district attorney for five years in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, and he worked at another Philadelphia law firm.
