She counsels clients in a wide range of technologies, with a particular focus on biotechnology, therapeutics, molecular biology, agricultural biotechnology, and medical devices. She has prepared and prosecuted applications relating to recombinant and modified nucleic acids, proteins, and peptides; protein and peptide therapeutics; pharmaceutical compounds and formulations, including antibacterial agents and vaccines; stem cells and related therapeutic technologies; immunotherapeutics; transgenic organisms; new use applications; microfluidic devices; diagnostic assays; medical devices and design; bacterial plant pathogens and other agricultural formulations; nanotechnology; and biomass-derived asphalt compositions.
Amanda has experience in post-issuance patent proceedings, assisting in reexaminations, reissue proceedings, inter partes review proceedings, and patent litigation. Her practice also includes inventorship dispute resolution and assisting in derivation proceedings, as well as conducting patentability, infringement, and invalidity opinions.
