Pepper Hamilton Represents LBJ Trademarks in 'Taco Tuesday' Trademark Application

A Pepper Hamilton team led by Intellectual Property partner Howard J. Shire is representing LBJ Trademarks, a company owned by basketball star LeBron James, in its application to register the trademark "Taco Tuesday."

James, who has produced a popular series of videos on social media using the term, is seeking to register "Taco Tuesday" for some potential business ventures.

On August 15, Pepper Hamilton filed the "Taco Tuesday" trademark application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in connection with intended use for downloadable videos, podcasts, marketing, blogging, and online "entertainment services, namely providing a website featuring non-downloadable videos and social media posts in the field of sports, entertainment, current events and popular culture."
