Pepper Hamilton Partners to Provide Industry Insight at 13th Annual New England Venture Summit

In the first half of 2018, more venture capital was invested in the U.S. than in any other six-month timeframe in recent memory. Business expansion and advances in technology ensure that there is never a shortage of opportunity for venture capitalists. Innovation has driven interest in sectors like artificial intelligence and biomedicine, making investments more lucrative. Navigating these emerging industries can be difficult, but well worth the risk.

To address emerging trends in the venture landscape, Steven R. London and Scott R. Jones, partners in the Health Sciences Department at Pepper Hamilton, and Nicholas A. Stawasz, partner in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group, will be featured speakers at the 13th Annual New England Venture Summit. The annual summit, which takes place Wednesday, December 12, will feature panel discussions composed of more than 100 of the top venture capitalists from around the world, and 50 presentations from hot startups in tech, fintech, cleantech, life sciences and health care.

Presented by youngStartup Ventures, the summit provides a platform for venture capitalists, angel investors, technology transfer professionals, senior executives of early-stage and emerging-growth companies, university researchers, incubators and premier service providers to discuss trends in venture capital, investment, funding and growth in business.

Pepper Hamilton is a founding sponsor of the summit and will continue its support this year as a Coaching Sponsor. Several attorneys will be present during the Coaching Session to assist participating companies with their pitches the day before the event.

The New England Venture Summit will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on December 12, 2018 at Lombardo’s Conference Center in Boston (6 Billings Street, Randolph, MA, 02368).
