Pepper Hamilton Partner to Address Today's Booming Venture Landscape at New York Venture Summit
Car technology startups raised an all-time high of $1.6 billion in funding during the first half of 2017, according to recent data from CB Insights. Industries from health care to marijuana to pet products are evolving rapidly, keeping startup entrepreneurs, angel investors and venture capitalists on their toes.
To provide timely industry expertise and outline the current issues facing both investors and startup leaders, Scott R. Jones, a partner in the Health Sciences Department at Pepper Hamilton LLP and one of the firm’s leaders in corporate transactional matters, will moderate two panels at the 2017 New York Venture Summit. The summit, which runs from July 18-19, 2017, connects venture capitalists, corporate VCs, angel investors, technology transfer professionals, senior executives of early stage and emerging growth companies, university researchers, incubators and premier service providers. Pepper Hamilton is the Coaching Sponsor this year, and members of the firm’s Emerging Growth and Technology Practice Groups will be participating in the summit, as well.
Mr. Jones will be moderating a panel of top VCs on July 18, and will lead a panel of venture capitalists titled, “Corporate Venture Capital: What You Need to Know” on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 4:30 – 5:20 PM.
