Frey and Stio of Pepper Hamilton Named to 2016 New Jersey Super Lawyers List

Pepper Hamilton LLP announced that Jeremy D. Frey and Angelo A. Stio, III have been named by New Jersey Super Lawyers magazine as two of the top attorneys in the state for 2016. Each year, no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state receive this honor.

Mr. Frey is a partner in the White Collar and Corporate Investigations Practice Group. He concentrates on corporate investigations, white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation and has been involved in a broad range of federal, state and administrative proceedings. Mr. Frey received a B.A. degree from Oberlin College in 1976 and his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1979.

Mr. Stio is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department and a member of the firm’s Privacy, Security and Data Protection group where he regularly counsels health care, financial services and educational institution clients on data privacy and security issues. Mr. Stio received a J.D., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University Law School in 1997. He also holds a B.S. from Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business and an M.P.A. from Seton Hall University’s Center for Public Service.

A statewide survey of lawyers who have been in practice for at least 5 years leads to the nomination of the best attorneys they have personally observed in action. Candidates are also added from searches by an attorney-led research staff for those who have attained certain honors or achievements. A research department examines the background and experience of each candidate. Point totals are calculated from the balloting and qualitative evaluation steps. Candidates are grouped according to primary area of practice. Members of a blue ribbon panel, selected from those with high point totals, review a list of candidates from their practice area. Final candidates are those with the highest point totals from each category. Only 5 percent of the total lawyers in the state are selected. No aspect of this advertisement has been approved by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. See www.SuperLawyers.com for more detail.
