Eli Segal, a partner with Pepper Hamilton, was one of 120 leaders selected for the 2019 Leadership Philadelphia Core Class. Leadership Philadelphia is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1959 to mobilize and connect the talent of the private sector to serve the community. Through a series of eleven day-long seminars, their Core Program experience seeks to enhance civic knowledge and awareness and enrich the leadership skills of its participants.
To qualify for admission into the program, candidates must be seasoned individuals with leadership skills and a drive to take responsibility for improving the quality of life in the region. Each nominee should be prominent within his or her organization, have the sponsor’s personal endorsement, be prepared to commit time to participate in the program and intend to stay in the region.
The program's notable alumni include Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross, former Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, Mural Arts Program Executive Director Jane Golden and Philadelphia Business Journal Editor-in-Chief Craig Ey.
