David J. Tshudy Quoted in Lebanon Daily News Article, 'Text Amendment Application Denied for Cedar Lanes Bowling Alley'
David J. Tshudy, of counsel with Pepper Hamilton, was quoted in the April 6, 2016 Lebanon Daily News article, "Text Amendment Application Denied for Cedar Lanes Bowling Alley."
The request [for a text amendment to a zoning ordinance for Royal Oaks Golf Course (ROGC) pertaining to the owners plans to move Cedar Lanes Bowling Alley to the golf course], made by attorney David Tshudy, with Pepper Hamilton Law Firm, on behalf of ROGC Golf Partners, LP, was being made, he said, in anticipation of a possible appeal to the township zoning hearing board's decision last month granting a variance permitting a bowling alley as a recreational accessory use to the golf course business in order to re-locate Cedar Lanes from its current location on Quentin Road to an existing 14,400-square-foot building on the Royal Oaks property located on Oak Street.
...
"We are somewhat concerned with some of the public objections that were made during the zoning hearing, that if an appeal is filed, it may forestall a retro-fit of the existing building on the Royal Oaks property for the Cedar Lanes purpose," Tshudy said.
...
As purely a business matter, Tshudy added, if the Cedar Lanes operation does not reopen by early fall, the continued existence of that business may be in jeopardy because many of the league bowlers who would not be able to bowl at Cedar Lanes would go to other alleys and it would be difficult to get them back in future years.
