Unless states say otherwise, expanded unemployment benefits could raise income enough to disqualify some jobless Americans from certain state programs, like those offering assistance to low-income people with respect to utility bills and child-care expenses, Moran said.
“I don’t think they would [exclude the income] in most places,” Moran said.
