Digital health is the use of technology to improve individuals’ health and wellness. It can encompass a wide sweep of technology, including wearable gadgets and biological sensors, mobile health and wellness applications, personal genomics and diagnostics, and more. Intellectual property can play a crucial role in protecting competitive advantages and supporting investments in digital health innovation.
Faculty will identify challenges and opportunities (including strategies and tactics) for securing effective intellectual property protection over various aspects of digital health developments. They will also discuss implementing a tactical plan leveraging different elements of patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret regimes to most effectively protect a digital health innovation.
