Hope A. Comisky, a partner and professional responsibility counsel with Pepper Hamilton, will be a co-presenter at the Pro Bono Opportunities Day, part of National Pro Bono Week 2016. The annual training event is presented by Philadelphia VIP, the hub of pro bono legal services in Philadelphia, in partnership with the Philadelphia Bar Association. Ms. Comisky and other speakers will navigate the ethics of pro bono work and the impact it has on low-income Philadelphians with critical legal needs.
Participants will review the rules of ethical conduct as they relate to common scenarios that arise during pro bono representation of low-income clients. Using an interactive question and answer format, participants will walk away with a thorough understanding of what issues may arise in their representation and how to handle them.
