Presented in honor of Black History Month by the African-American/Black Affinity Group at Pepper Hamilton
The history of the Black Philadelphia Lawyer is a transcendent story of inspiration for all. Since 1845, these extraordinary men and women were forced to overcome seemingly insurmountable racial, political and de jure barriers to reach the pantheon of American professional life. In doing so, they demonstrated the timeless qualities and attributes of many of our most revered American heroes – an inexhaustible work ethic, an insatiable intellectual curiosity, an unrelenting commitment to equality and justice, and a fearless courage of convictions.
In this program, our speakers will discuss the history and legacy of the Black Philadelphia Lawyer.
