The First Amendment, Court Proceedings, and Judicial Records: A Discussion of the Public's Right of Access

Eli Segal, a partner and co-chair of the firm's Media Communications and Entertainment and First Amendment and Transparency practices, will be a panelist on the program titled "The First Amendment, Court Proceedings, and Judicial Records: A Discussion of the Public’s Right of Access." Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts and Penn Law are hosting this continuing judicial education program (CJE) designed to provide judges with a better understanding of the right of the public and press to access court proceedings and judicial records. The program will provide an overview of the constitutional and common law rights of access, as well as their application to different kinds of proceedings and records.
