Pepper Hamilton will be hosting the 12th Annual American Bar Association (ABA) Arbitration Training Institute sponsored by the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution on May 16–17, 2019 in Philadelphia, PA. Presented by nationally recognized arbitrators, this two-day training features sessions on every stage of the arbitral process examined from the vantage point of neutrals, advocates, administrators and in-house counsel. Small group discussions allow participants to interact in-depth with the faculty and each other. Substantive sessions address particular areas of arbitral practice.
Matthew H. Adler, a partner in the Litigation Department of Pepper Hamilton and chair of the International and Domestic Arbitration Practice Group, will be speaking on the panel titled “Managing the Hearing” on Thursday, May 16 from 2:00–3:00 PM. During this session, the A to Z of managing hearings efficiently and fairly will be discussed including, final status conferences, evidence, subpoenas, opening and closing arguments, the when and how of arbitrator questions, and other issues.
Mr. Adler will also be speaking on the panel titled “Concurrent Sessions on Substantive Topics” on Friday, May 17 from 11:00 AM–12:15 PM. During this session, attendees will find the small group discussion that best suits their practice or interests. The facilitators will kick off with their thoughts and leave plenty of time for group interaction.
