Emerging Markets: Reading the M&A Map in India

Thursday, July 19, 2012

India has been well known for its technological prowess in software and IT, which has been a major factor in why the country only trails China in attracting inbound M&A among emerging markets. Now, the country's prospects in sectors such as finance, fashion and energy also have attracted attention for investments from outside India. As of August, the U.K. led the trend with investments in India with $15.6 billion, followed by the United States, Germany and Japan. Join The Deal and its panelists as they discuss the M&A opportunities in India for 2012 and beyond. They will look at the regulatory hurdles to doing deals in India and analyze some of the highlights of recent Indian transactions.
