Canadian Webinar Series
February 23, 2010
Pepper partner Joshua R. Slavitt will discuss some of the most significant U.S. court decisions on patent law that have been issued in the past year, with a particular focus on how these changes in the law present new risks and opportunities for Canadian (and U.S.) companies, including new areas of inquiry for conducting due diligence in acquisition and financing transactions resulting from these recent changes.
Mr. Slavitt also will provide a brief overview of the U.S patent system and how it differs from the Canadian patent system, discuss some current trends in patent litigation in the United States, and offer guidance on the effective use of both offensive and defensive patent strategies.
