Julia Weisberg is an associate in the Philadelphia office of Pepper Hamilton LLP. She is a member of the Health Effects Litigation and Life Sciences practice groups. Ms. Weisberg advises and defends manufacturers of pharmaceutical products, as well as life science companies with products in development.
Ms. Weisberg has represented clients in multidistrict federal litigation involving pharmaceutical products. Her experience includes pre-litigation risk assessments, MDL formation, document collection and production, preparing company witnesses to testify, developing expert witnesses, deposing witnesses, mediation, and inventory settlement valuation and negotiation. She has worked on consolidated federal multidistrict and state litigation, and individual state and federal cases.
Along with defending pharmaceutical clients against litigation, Ms. Weisberg provides regulatory counseling on compliance with FDA regulations, and on risk management issues raised by regulatory submissions, securities submissions, publications and corporate communications. Ms. Weisberg’s regulatory counseling includes performing due diligence for FDA-regulated entities in connection with SEC filings and public offerings.
Ms. Weisberg’s pro bono practice includes representing tenants facing eviction and, as co-counsel with the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, representing a client in his innocence claim in post-conviction proceedings.
While in law school, she was a summer clerk at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.
