Vinny represented clients in a wide range of IP litigation matters. He also advised clients on trusts and estates matters.
Vinny focused his practice on counseling and litigation in the field of intellectual property, including copyright, trademark, trade secret, and unfair competition matters. He also represented clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in general commercial matters. Vinny prosecuted and defended actions in federal and state courts, as well as before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and prosecutes and defends TRO and preliminary injunction actions.
Vinny served as subcommittee chair of the ABA Trade Identity Committee on Fair Use of Trademarks, as well as on ABA subcommittees addressing issues of trade dress infringement, insurance indemnity for trademark infringement, false advertising, and unfair competition.
Vinny handled a range of estate planning, charitable trust, fiduciary, probate, tax, and litigation matters. He successfully represented individual and corporate clients as plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts. In addition, Vinny represented clients in Orphans' Court actions at the trial and appellate court levels.
Vinny regularly presented on trusts and estates issues, and was the author of "The Pennsylvania Estate Tax: Is It Unconstitutional?," 87 Dickinson Law Review 635. Vinny was consulted on the proposed Pennsylvania Rules of Evidence as they pertain to Orphans' Court litigation.
