Robert E. Heideck is a partner in the Litigation Department of Pepper Hamilton LLP. He served as executive partner and a member of Pepper’s Executive Committee from 2003 to 2012. He also has served as a member of Pepper’s Finance Committee. As a member of the Executive Committee, Mr. Heideck served as the client representative in several malpractice claims against the firm and associated professional liability insurance issues.
Before becoming executive partner, Mr. Heideck concentrated his practice on litigation, primarily in the construction industry and the pharmaceutical industry. In the construction industry, he has represented owners, contractors, sureties, subcontractors on a variety of claims, including claims on behalf of contractors arising out of the construction of major highways and bridges in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and other projects throughout the United States.
With respect to the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Heideck has represented several major pharmaceutical companies in claims related to various compounds, including anti-depressants, antibiotics, diet medications and other medications.
Mr. Heideck joined Pepper as an associate in 1980 following a two-year clerkship for the Hon. Edmund B. Spaeth, Jr., of the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
