Nathaniel L. Koonce II is an associate in the Health Sciences Department of Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the Philadelphia office.
Mr. Koonce counsels clients in private equity, venture capital, corporate and health care transactions. He regularly represents hospitals and health systems, retail specialty and long-term care pharmacies, group purchasing organizations, long-term care organizations, pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical device companies, dental practices, ambulatory surgery centers, specialty hospitals, biotechnology companies and other health care organizations.
Mr. Koonce is engaged in Pepper Hamilton’s pro bono legal clinics, including the Tangled Title/Home Ownership Practice Group, through which Pepper lawyers represent low-income homeowners in Philadelphia, who either have defects in their home titles or are victims of fraudulent deeds, obtain clear title to their homes.
Prior to joining Pepper, Mr. Koonce was a corporate associate with Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP, where he focused his practice on mergers and acquisitions, real estate, finance, derivatives and general corporate governance matters.
While in law school, Mr. Koonce was president of the Black Law Students Association, community outreach chair and academic chair of the American Constitution Society, and a volunteer for the Pan-Africa Service Project in Mombasa, Kenya. Mr. Koonce also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Janet Bond Arterton of the District Court of Connecticut.
