Michael H. Friedman is a partner with Pepper Hamilton LLP. Mr. Friedman served as co-chairman of the firm’s Commercial Department and chairman of its Corporate and Securities Practice Group from 2005 through 2010.
Mr. Friedman concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate securities. He has represented issuers and underwriters in public and private offerings of common, preferred and convertible equity securities and debt securities and engaged in many acquisition and joint venture transactions. Mr. Friedman has extensive experience representing REITS and has represented financial institutions in a variety of corporate matters. Mr. Friedman also counsels boards of directors and senior management of companies on governance, disclosure and transactional matters.
Mr. Friedman served as a member of the Philadelphia Board for Corporate Governance. He also served as chairman of the Mergers and Acquisitions Committee of the Business Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and was a member of the Executive Committee of the bar association’s Business Section.
Mr. Friedman has published recent articles on corporate governance, joint venture design, executive compensation, securities regulations and distressed debt.
