Jessica K. Southwick is an associate in the Health Sciences Department of Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the Philadelphia office. Ms. Southwick concentrates her practice on the counseling and defense of companies with products regulated by the FDA, including pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, as well as businesses in the cannabis industry. She has experience in all phases of litigation, defending companies against products liability and consumer fraud claims, including federal multidistrict litigation and state coordinated proceedings.
Ms. Southwick has an active pro bono practice, representing refugee immigrants before the USCIS. She also works with the ACLU on a variety of immigration issues, including representation of detainees.
Before joining Pepper, she defended hospital systems against complex medical malpractice matters and represented clients in intellectual property disputes.
