Before retiring, Greg was experienced in the areas of international trade policy, litigation and regulatory work, including customs, export controls and economic sanctions.
Greg clerked at the U.S. Court of International Trade for two years for the Honorable Dominick L. DiCarlo, where he assisted in the adjudication of numerous antidumping, countervailing duty, customs and trade adjustment assistance cases. He wrote a note titled "The Very Specialized United States Generalized System of Preferences: An Examination of Renewal Changes and Analysis of Their Legal Effect," published in 15 Georgia Journal of International And Comparative Law 39 (1985); co-wrote an article titled "Transfer Pricing Between Related Parties – A Comparison of United States Customs Valuation and Tax Allocations Under Section 482," published in 2?3 Intertax 72 (1989); and co-wrote "Respondents' Perspectives on Section 201 'Safeguards' Actions," published in the materials for the 1998 International Trade Update seminar held by the Georgetown University Law Center.
