Eric S. Merin is an associate in the Commercial Litigation and Media Practice Groups of Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the Philadelphia office.
Mr. Merin’s commercial litigation practice involves representing clients in a wide-ranging array of complex litigation and advisory matters, including putative class actions in, among other areas, securities and consumer fraud, antitrust, shareholder and corporate disputes, contract disputes, non-compete enforcement matters, and failure-to-warn product liability matters. As part of his media practice, Mr. Merin defends newspapers and other media companies against defamation and invasion of privacy claims. He has also provided pre-publication counseling and advised on matters before the Federal Election Commission.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Merin clerked for the Honorable Pamela K. Chen of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Prior to his clerkship, he was a general litigation associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in New York City.
