David M. Magee is of counsel in the Intellectual Property Department of Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the Boston office.
Mr. Magee represents clients ranging in size from startups to some of the largest publicly-traded companies in the United States on matters and transactions involving the acquisition and disposition of technologies, as well as the protection and enforcement of underlying intellectual property.

Prior to joining Pepper, Mr. Magee was an attorney with a Boston-based AmLaw 25 law firm where he gained well-rounded experience in commercial disputes, transactions and investigations including investigations by the DOJ, FTC, European Commission, and Japanese Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) relating to clients’ standard setting and licensing practices. Mr. Magee also served as a technical lead attorney in investigations and defense of claims stemming from the accident aboard the Deepwater Horizon drilling platform and the resulting hydrocarbon release into the Gulf of Mexico.
Prior to law school, Mr. Magee was an engineer with an Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top 25 global design and engineering firm.
