Colleen C. Kelly is an associate in the Health Sciences Department of Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the Philadelphia office.
Ms. Kelly focuses her practice on the representation of pharmaceutical clients in multi-district litigation, state coordinated proceedings, consumer fraud class actions, and individual cases. She also provides regulatory counseling to companies in the life sciences industry.
Ms. Kelly has defended personal injury actions involving marketed products, involving extensive expert witness work, analysis of medical literature, coordination of electronic discovery, dispositive motion practice, and deposition preparation of company and expert witnesses.
Ms. Kelly counsels pharmaceutical companies on compliance with FDA regulations, particularly surrounding product promotion and marketing as well as regulatory disclosures. She conducts risk assessments of investigational and marketed pharmaceuticals to assess potential litigation risks.
Ms. Kelly also conducts internal corporate investigations and assists white collar clients in cooperating with government investigations. She also defends physicians and healthcare facilities in medical malpractice actions.
Ms. Kelly maintains an active pro bono practice, focused on immigration. She is a member of the firm’s Adjustment of Status Clinic practice group, in which attorneys and paralegals assist refugees and asylum-seekers in obtaining permanent legal residence. She also represents detained aliens seeking to remain in the United States.
