Charles F. Koch is an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group of Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the Silicon Valley office.
Mr. Koch focuses his practice on patent litigation and other intellectual property matters before district courts throughout the United States, the International Trade Commission, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Koch also has experience prosecuting patent applications, opinions, IP due diligence and licensing. Areas in which Mr. Koch has experience include internet advertising, e-commerce, data compression technology, DVD authoring, fiber optics, semiconductor processing, circuit design, nanotechnology, telecommunications and software.
Prior to joining Pepper, Mr. Koch was an associate with Goodwin Procter and before that was an associate at Townsend and Townsend and Crew LLP.
Mr. Koch also served as an assistant district attorney with the city and county of San Francisco, where he was lead trial counsel for numerous jury and bench trials.
Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Koch worked for more than seven years as an engineer and engineering team leader at Alcatel U.S.A. (now Alcatel-Lucent), where his responsibilities included the design and manufacture of fiber optic telecommunications systems.
