A. John May, III is a partner in the Commercial Department of Pepper Hamilton LLP. Mr. May’s practice is concentrated primarily in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, intellectual property licensing, real estate and corporate/partnership governance issues.
Mr. May has represented U.S. and foreign operating companies in a variety of strategic and financial acquisitions and divestitures. He also has represented merchant banks, management, consolidation and investment groups in strategic and serial acquisition programs.
Within the corporate finance area, Mr. May has represented a number of issuers in public and private equity and debt offerings, including venture capital, mezzanine, traditional secured and unsecured financings, and municipal financings. He also has represented a number of banks and non-bank lenders in complex financials.
Mr. May also has provided regular corporate counseling to, and served as general counsel for, a number of operating corporations, LLCs and partnerships in a variety of businesses, including contract review, licensing issues, litigation strategy and governance advice.
Mr. May is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and Chester County Bar Associations.
