Three Pepper Hamilton Attorneys Named Among Top 250 Women in Litigation
Pepper Hamilton is pleased to announce that Philadelphia attorneys Amy B. Ginensky, Nina M. Gussack and Barbara W. Mather have been named in the fourth edition of Benchmark: Top 250 Women in Litigation. All three have been named in the publication since its inception and Pepper Hamilton is again the only Pennsylvania firm to have three of its partners named.
Benchmark: Top 250 Women in Litigation is dedicated to honoring the accomplishments of America’s leading female trial lawyers and features female litigators from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The decision to feature a distinguished female litigator was based primarily on targeted research completed during the U.S. Benchmark Litigation review process. Peer review and overall depth of their litigation careers were important elements during this research.
Ms. Ginensky is a partner in Pepper’s Philadelphia office and the leader of the firm’s media and communications practice. She handles class action and commercial litigation matters, and has an active media and communications practice that focuses on First Amendment, defamation and other media-related areas. Ms. Ginensky is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Ms. Gussack is a partner in Pepper’s Litigation Department and chair of the Health Effects Litigation Practice Group. She is past chair of the firm’s Executive Committee. Her trial practice is concentrated in civil litigation, with a primary emphasis in the defense of pharmaceutical and medical device companies regarding marketed products, investigational new drugs, medical devices and over-the-counter drug products. Ms. Gussack serves as national coordinating and trial counsel and as regional counsel in pharmaceutical litigation, including class actions and multi-district litigation.
Ms. Mather is a partner in Pepper’s Philadelphia office and past chair of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. She is a trial lawyer with experience in professional responsibility and malpractice, antitrust, securities and corporate governance, and other commercial, as well as college and university law. Ms. Mather has been a lecturer in law for antitrust at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and taught appellate advocacy and legal ethics. She also served as city solicitor of Philadelphia, the chief civil lawyer in the city and head of the firm’s 100-member law department in Philadelphia.
