Steven R. London Assumes Board President Position for the Jewish National Fund of Boston

Steven R. London, a partner in the Health Sciences Department of Pepper Hamilton LLP and a member of the Corporate and Securities Practice Group, has been appointed as board president for the Jewish National Fund (JNF) in Boston. His new role began at the beginning of the 2018 fiscal year on October 1, 2017.

Having been an active participant on the board of JNF for almost 25 years, as board president Mr. London has articulated his goals and priorities to help increase donor involvement in JNF in order to exceed annual campaign goals; enlarge the New England Board of Trustees with community leaders who value the importance of the JNF mission; continue to enhance the visibility and prominence of the JNF as a model charitable organization; and run successful programs that support the JNF projects in Israel.

“I am doing this now because more than ever I feel a strong connection to Israel and am empowered to do something with a positive impact on the future of Israel, to be a part of the story, and to make a real difference in the quality of life in Israel now and for future generations,” said Mr. London. “I want to help implement JNF’s vision and mission and continue my family’s passion and commitment to the State of Israel.”

Mr. London has been advising rapidly growing businesses from the initial start-up through the entire corporate life cycle, serving as general corporate counsel to privately held, and small and middle market public companies, with a focus on corporate finance and M&A activities. Mr. London has assisted numerous Israeli technology companies in raising capital and entering the U.S. market.

Founded in 1901, the Jewish National Fund is a nonprofit organization devoted to the maintaining the State of Israel through afforestation, water conservation and land development initiatives. Since 1901, JNF has planted more than 250 million trees; built over 250 reservoirs and dams; developed over 250,000 acres of land; created more than 2,000 parks; and provided the infrastructure for over 1,000 communities. JNF’s long-term vision has grown to include building new communities in the Negev and in northern Israel, expanding the scope of river rehabilitation and water research, exploring energy production, making all parks and playgrounds accessible to people with various disabilities, bringing thousands of people to Israel every year on missions and trips and growing future leadership in our youth community through education and advocacy programs.
