Ronni E. Fuchs Quoted in Law360 Article, 'Four Attorney Rule Changes to Watch For in 2017'
Ronni E. Fuchs, a partner in the Health Effects Litigation Practice Group of Pepper Hamilton, was quoted in the January 2, 2016 Law360 article, " Four Attorney Rule Changes to Watch For in 2017." Ms. Fuches discusses a first-of-its-kind disclosure requirement for litigants backed by funders which was proposed by a federal court rules committee.
Ronni Fuchs, a partner in the health effects litigation practice at Pepper Hamilton LLP, said the California rule would impact venue decisions by disclosure-averse plaintiffs and their backers.
“If you’re the only place where disclosure is mandatory, maybe people choose another locale,” she said. “I think a lot of courts would at least give a decent consideration to ordering disclosure of a
funder if requested, but you just don’t know and you could always have a court say no.”
