Robert J. Weinberg, of counsel in the Trusts and Estates Practice Group of Pepper Hamilton, has been selected as the 2012 Distinguished Estate Planner by the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council, the interdisciplinary professional association for estate planners in the Philadelphia area. The honor – the PEPC’s highest award – will be bestowed on Mr. Weinberg on February 19, 2013 at The Union League in Philadelphia. According to the PEPC, the purpose of this award is to honor an individual for outstanding contributions in the field of estate planning.
Mr. Weinberg was a member of the board of directors of the PEPC from 1991-2005 and served as its president in 2003-2004. He regularly lectures before professional groups, and his articles have appeared in a number of professional journals on tax and estate planning. He is the author of a three-volume treatise, Pennsylvania Estate Planning and Drafting.
