Pepper Wins Three M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards
Pepper Hamilton has earned three awards for its role in two complex bankruptcy/reorganization matters in The M&A Advisor's 10th Annual Turnaround Awards.
Pepper is counsel to RadioShack in its bankruptcy case, which The M&A Advisor tapped as Telecom Deal of the Year and Restructuring Deal of the Year (Over $250MM to $500MM). Pepper's David M. Fournier, Evelyn J. Meltzer, Michael J. Custer, Jonathan A. Clark, Christopher Lano and Rebecca S. Hudson are members of the team on that engagement.
Pepper also was recognized for its role in representing Hilco Global in its acquisition of certain assets from the former Lee Steel Corporation, which The M&A Advisor recognized as Restructuring Deal of the Year (Over $25MM To $50MM). Robert S. Hertzberg, Vicki R. Harding, Norman B. Berlin, Nicole T. Sodko and Nancy Foley were members of the Pepper team on that engagement.
The awards will be presented at The M&A Advisor Awards Gala on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Colony Hotel, Palm Beach, FL.
"The award winners represent the best of the distressed investing and reorganization industry in 2015 and earned these honors by standing out in a group of very impressive candidates," said David Fergusson, co-CEO and president of The M&A Advisor. "From lower middle market to multi-billion dollar deals, we have recognized the leading restructurings, distressed M&A transactions, firms and individuals that represent the highest levels of performance."
The nominations, representing over 200 participating companies, were judged by an independent jury of industry experts.
