Pepper Hamilton Ranked in The Deal's H1 2015 M&A League Tables
Pepper Hamilton was ranked as a top law firm in The Deal’s H1 2015 M&A league tables.
The M&A league tables involve changes in control of a target company with a market value of $100M or more. The Deal ranks the top law firms, Delaware law firms, proxy solicitors, public relations firms and investment advisers by the total number of deals advised between January 1 and June 30, 2015.
In the first half of 2015, Pepper Hamilton's Mergers, Acquisitions and Joint Ventures Practice Group was involved in five deals. Most notably, Pepper Hamilton represented IGATE Corporation in its negotiation of a definitive merger agreement to be acquired by French information technology services company Capgemini in a $4 billion, tri-continental deal. The Pepper Hamilton team was led by corporate partners James J. Barnes, Valérie Demont and John P. Duke and associates Alexander D. Gonzalez, D. Taylor Ocasio, Patrick J. Bianchi and Daniel La Luz. Kirkland Ellis LLP was co-counsel with Pepper Hamilton.
Pepper Hamilton also represented Majesco (formerly MajescoMastek), a global provider of core insurance software, consulting and services for insurance business transformation, in the merger of NYSE MKT-listed Cover-All Technologies Inc., a leading provider of innovative and modern P/C insurance technology solutions with Majesco. Valérie Demont and James D. Rosener were the lead corporate partners in advising the deal with George A. Esposito Jr., David P. Russo and Patrick J. Bianchi. Other Pepper Hamilton attorneys involved in the deal include Timothy J. Leska, David A. Wormser, Barbara T. Sicalides, Benjamin Strauss, Robert A. Friedel and Frank B. Tripodi.
