Pepper Hamilton Expands Financial Services Practice with Addition of Gregory J. Rubis
Pepper Hamilton LLP announced that Gregory J. Rubis has joined the firm as special counsel in the Financial Services Practice Group, resident in the Princeton office.
Prior to joining Pepper, Mr. Rubis was counsel with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in New York, where he provided advice regarding problems at banks and federal branches and agencies, including analysis and interpretation of BSA/AML/OFAC issues. Before that, he was a senior attorney with the U.S. Department of Treasury, working with the Office of Thrift Supervision regarding federal banking, securities and corporate matters concerning savings associations and holding companies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Rubis was a staff attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and practiced with firms in Washington, California and New York.

Mr. Rubis is a graduate of Widener University School of Law (J.D. 1986), where he was a member of The Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. He earned a B.S.B.A., cum laude, in finance and a B.A. in economics from Boston University in 1983. He holds a Master of Divinity, with distinction, from Holy Cross School of Theology.
