Philadelphia, PA – October 1, 2010 – Pepper Hamilton LLP has achieved a 100 percent rating on The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index for 2011. The HRC report, which was released today, shows the number of businesses with perfect ratings based on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workplace policies and benefits rose by eleven percent in the past twelve months, despite the serious economic downturn. The 2011 edition of the Corporate Equality Index, which rates 615 businesses on a scale from 0 to 100 percent, reports 337 businesses achieved top ratings, compared to 305 last year. Ninety-seven of American Lawyer magazine’s 200 largest law firms received 100 percent ratings.
