Murray S. Levin, a partner with Pepper Hamilton LLP, spoke at the Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA) 58th Congress in Florence, Italy held October 29 - November 2, 2014. Levin, who is a member of the UIA’s governing board and a presidential counselor, presented a talk on “Genetically Modified Foods in American Law.” He also participated in the “Large Law Firm Forum” and spoke about the increasing prevalence of conflict issues and firm and bar association procedures for dealing with these conflicts. Other panelists spoke of their conflict experience in France, Germany, and Serbia.
Mr. Levin concentrates his practice on medical device and pharmaceutical products liability cases and an array of commercial litigation matters, including those with an international cast.
The Union Internationale des Avocats, based in Paris, is the world’s oldest international lawyers association. Levin was president of its American chapter in 1995-96, and chair of its annual Congress held in Philadelphia in 1997.
