Matthew H. Adler Quoted in Law360 Article, 'Three Tips for Landing More Arbitration Work'
Matthew H. Adler, chair of Pepper's International and Domestic Arbitration Practice Group and a co-chair of the firm's Commercial Litigation Practice Group, was quoted in the February 12, 2016 Law360 article, "Three Tips for Landing More Arbitration Work."
Pepper Hamilton LLP partner Matt Adler says his colleagues will often come to him seeking advice on whether to include provisions for litigation or arbitration in contracts. If the client decides to incorporate arbitration, then the
question becomes which institution to use and which country's laws to write the agreement under.
"These clauses have become more important — they can at times even be outcome-determinative," he said. "I think it's very important to demonstrate a competence in something other than classic litigation
skills, and to bring the knowledge that one has about arbitration to ... help negotiate the right dispute resolution clause."
