Matthew H. Adler Quoted in Law360 Article, 'Coming CFPB Arbitration Rules Face Multiple Legal Fights'
Matthew H. Adler, Pepper partner, chair of the firm's International and Domestic Arbitration Practice Group and co-chair of the Commercial Litigation Practice Group, was quoted in the October 7, 2015 Law360 article, "Coming CFPB Arbitration Rules Face Multiple Legal Fights." Mr. Adler discussed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)'s proposal on how it intends to restrict mandatory arbitration clauses on consumer financial contracts and referenced recent Supreme Court decisions, including AT&T Mobility LLC v. Concepcion and American Express Co. et al. v. Italian Colors Restaurant et al.
"The regulation comes smack up against" those decisions, said Matt Adler of Pepper Hamilton LLP.
