Leigh A. Poltrock, of counsel in the Affordable Housing and Community Development Practice Group and resident in the Pittsburgh office, was quoted in the August 7, 2014 article “Attorneys to Offer Free Legal Advice in Sharpsburg” in Trib Total Media. The article discusses how a few attorneys, Ms. Poltrock included, will give people in need free legal advice in Sharpsburg, PA. The attorneys will provide up to 25 minutes of free legal advice and consultation on civil issues.
“I figured there was probably a need in the community for those types of services, and it just seemed sort of like a natural place to offer them,” Poltrock said.
Issues covered will include landlord and tenant issues, problems with contractors and consumer law.
“Just about everything you could think of,” Poltrock said. The clinic will help place people in a better position within the legal system, Poltrock said.
“The cost of legal services is a growing obstacle to a lot of people being able to protect their own rights and have a say in court or in the court process,” Poltrock said.
