Jay A. Dubow Quoted in Great Falls Tribune Article, 'Tribe Responds to 'Whistle-Blower' Reprisal Charges'
Jay A. Dubow, partner in Pepper Hamilton's White Collar Litigation and Investigations Practice Group, was quoted in the May 4, 2015 Great Falls Tribune article, "Tribe Responds to ‘Whistle-Blower’ Reprisal Charges."
We disagree with the findings and conclusions contained in the final [disposition report from the Office of the Inspector General, issued April 24], and we are considering all options with respect to next steps," said Jay Dubow, partner at Pepper Hamilton.
One option the CCBC is not considering is reinstating St. Marks as committee chairman. In response to a series of written questions submitted by the Great Falls Tribune, Dubow said the CCBC stands by its long-established assertion that St. Marks was removed from office in response to his misconduct and violation of tribal laws, and that the CCBC is considering appealing the OIG ruling to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
"The 2013 Chippewa Cree Business Committee and its individual members ... were not motivated to vote for the removal of Mr. St. Marks as chairman based upon any cooperation with federal officials," Dubow said.
