Amy B. Ginensky Quoted in LancasterOnline.com Article, 'Columbia Borough to Keep Public Notices, Legal Ads in LNP'
Amy B. Ginensky, a senior partner in Pepper Hamilton’s Philadelphia office and the chair of its Media and Communications and First Amendment practices, was quoted in the July 18, 2016 LancasterOnline.com article, "Columbia Borough to Keep Public Notices, Legal Ads in LNP."
“It is critical for good government that the public, as a whole, see these notices,” Amy B. Ginensky, a senior partner at the Pepper Hamilton law firm, wrote to the borough. The firm represents LNP Media Group Inc., publisher of LNP and LancasterOnline.com.
“By burying them in a publication that does not give the public at large an opportunity to read them, the Borough may save a few undisclosed dollars but deprives the public from knowing what is going on,” the letter continued.
“While politicians may think that this is a good idea, an informed electorate will not.”
Published in Harrisburg, the Central Penn Business Journal describes itself as a “business publication” that “reaches entrepreneurs, corporate directors, middle managers and CEOs.”
“This,” Ginensky wrote, “is not the description of a community of readers who have a direct and daily interest in the actions of the Borough’s government.”
